My oldest was three before I had another child and then the following year I had another! Having only one was fun, but the three of them together was Amazing. Watching how different they are and how they interact with each other is awesome. They are all very close and consider each other their best friends.

I have a 6 year old boy and a 3 year old girl. That is plenty for me! I also have my tubes tied. Had to actually due to health issues.

I had two girls- 22 months age difference. When they hit the teen years I was looking forward to them growing and moving out of the house. They are now 20 and 19 and still live at home with their unexpected new little twin sisters- now 4 years old.

Our ideal family was going to be 3 or 4 kids.  Unfortunately, after two seriously complicated pregnancies (including one delivered at 32 weeks to save both of our lives) we decided that 2 was IT for us.  In some ways I regretted that but the risks that I would not survive a third pregnancy were too high.  I had a tubal ligation done before leaving hospital with #2 which was for the best - no risk that I would 'forget' a pill or 'accidentally' damage a condom or any other such little accidents when baby-lust got too strong.

I never wanted children. I love them but I didnt want any. But I was blessed with my son. Neither me or my husband want anymore and were doing everything possible to prevent that to happen again.

My girls are a couple months shy of being 10 years apart. I had my first DD when I was 18. We knew we wanted another child but wanted to wait until we were better off. They both have first born tendencies. If i had it to do over again I would have had them a little closer in age maybe 5 years or so. They will almost always be in different stages of life. My little DD will be starting kindergarten the same year my oldest starts High school.

Right now we have two boys (2yrs apart) and hubby and I are discussing a third baby, I want to try one more time for a girl.  After that we'll be done and I plan on getting tubal so we don't have any future surprises.

I say at least two and four is my absolute limit (we're talking surgery here).  However, I do not like having kids close together - I just don't really think it's all that fair for the older ones.  I realize there are benefits for it, jmo.
