So, if you hadn't noticed the GO of this group went AWAL... sooo... CafeMom gave the group to me. :) I hope to spruce it up and get it flowing! When I logged in there were two abuse reports, no group icon, no group URL, etc.. so I went ahead and updated all of that!
I would REALLY like this group to somewhat resemble the Promotions forum on Etsy (if you haven't visited.. you really should.. click here!), but also be a place where we can come for advice and/or general discussion regarding Etsy.
I would also like to have sponsored contests in the future where a seller could donate an item from their shop, or a gift certificate to use, and then we would have some sort of creative theme challenge or listing challenge, etc. What do you guys think of that idea?
I'm also wanting to gather a group directory, to list all of our member's shop names and banners in a sticky so they are easy to find. :)
And.. the last thing.. should we have separate forums here? What forums should we have?

It would be nice to get this group more active. I have actually been thinking about doing a contest for my photo (print yourself) christmas cards on my blog. It would be fun to do one here as well. It might be nice to do a section for things we make and a section for advise or maybe marketing techniques and hints, tricks of the trade. I can't wait to see something HAPPEN in this group : )

I couldn't agree more with you ladies. I don't have an ETSY shop yet but I hope to have one very soon. I was hoping this group would be a little more informative on ETSY but I do enjoy visiting everyone's sites. There are tons of amazing things that you all have made. I am so envious!

Awsome! I'm really glad this group is picking up! I was a little dissapointed when I joined and there wasn't much going on. I like all of MommyTails suggestions. I love, love, love theme contests so that sort of thing would be awsome!

I also agree with a lot of what has been said above and would very much like to see some or all of the following categories:
Promotions (Place to announce new listings, sales, giveaways, etc.)
Marketing Ideas/Tips
Creative Challenges (With or with out a winner/prize)
Q&A on Etsy features/Etsy News/or using Etsy
And maybe some sort of organized way to promote each other through our personal blogs (I belong to a group called Creative Bloggers which is a ring where each member is mentioned or featured by all other members during the same week.)
