Hi, I don't know if this is quite the right place for this question, but I don't know where else to ask. I had an endometrial ablation on Apr 1. I had some light bleeding, more like spotting, for about 3 weeks afterwards and since then have not had any bleeding and I have been very happy with my results, until very recently. Just over two weeks ago I started having some pretty painful cramping that lead to pain in my lower back. It was almost like contractions, you know how they wrap around from belly to back or back to belly? Then on this past weekend, I was laying on the couch and felt a trickle. By the time I ran to the bathroom my pants were bloody and there was blood all over my legs. It was very dark brownish and pretty heavy at first and came with some really bad cramps. Over the course of the day the cramps stopped and the bleeding lightened up in volume and colour (to a slightly lighter red, but still brownish) and finally stopped by the time I went to bed.
The next day I had some cramping and bleeding in the late afternoon that had completely stopped by late evening, nothing the third day, and then again late afternoon today more bleeding and cramps. I tried calling my gyn but she's away doing some training. So I was just wondering if anyone else has had an ablation and if they've experienced anything like this? If it keeps up I will go see my family Dr and if he can't help I'll try to get into another gyn. I am wondering if I'll end up having mini periods now or if this is something unusual that I should be worried about. I'd really like to find out sooner rather than later because I am scheduled for an unrelated surgery in Nov and really don't want anything to interfere with that. Thanks for any help you can give.
