Has anyone had a trachelectomy?

I was wanting some insite as to if anyone has had a trachelectomy. I have to have one done as well and a bladder strap for support. If anyone could give any insite with this i would greatly appreciate it.

 

*My Back Story*

I had my daugther in 2003 and they had to due a partial hysterectomy but left one ovary and tube and my cervix, 2 years later they had to remove my ovary i had left and tube and next month they are removing my cervix. I'm really nervous for some odd reason about this upcoming surgery.

It is a simple procedure to remove your cervix. It is nothing to be worried about. I had my cervix removed when I had my hyster. I had my hysterectomy July 2008 and cannot tell you that I miss my cervix, I can't tell. I have not had any complications coinciding with its removal. I would say it carries no worse possible implications than having a hysterectomy does. I also had my bladder stapled. It too shows no difference other than I go to the bathroom 4-5 times an hour. That however is very inconvenient when you are traveling, but no problems per say. If you have any other questions feel free to ask me!! =)
