Vaginal Prolapse after TAH???? May be to much info for some people...Really need help.
I had a TAH 2 years ago, and now I believe I may have some type of prolapse. The past few days I have been having pressure down in the vaginal/anus area, but I took it as the hubby and I went at it to hard. However today my underwear has been irritating me so I took a mirror to see what is going on. I noticed a bulge coming from my vagina. I was wondering if anyone else has had this happen and what their doctor said about it.
Not a clue, but as I am just a little over 6 wks out I am still unsure what to expect. I would be interested to know what the other ladies have to say. I would definitely call the doctor on this one! Let me know what you find out. My mom had a TAH and her bladder dropped to the point that she had to have reconstructive lift done.
Hi there I know exactly what you are goin through.
I had my LAVH last year Oct and have already been to the dr and said that mine is so bad that I could have surgery to repair it.I have a rectocyle -anal area and a cystocele - vaginal area.My dr told me that I will only experience problems about 5 or 7 years donw the line and mine has happened almost a year later.I was told that kegel exercises can help a lot and dont do any heavy lifting ot standing for a long period of time. I am not able to have surgery now as I have a 2 and 3 year old boys and cannot afford for my husband to be off work for 6 weeks again.I will wait until they are older before I have the surgery.
My husband bought ne a teeter table to see if it will help with everything falling down.
I sympathize with you.Mine happens expecially when I have a bowel movement.Mine is the size of a golf ball. Please go and see your dr and get his opinion on it and let me know.Hope you get some answers.
Many hugs.
Thank you for your advice and insight. I will be going to the doctor as soon as my kids are out for Christmas break and with their dad for a visit. I will give you a update as soon as I go to my doctor. I wish you the best of luck in your medical complications.
i know that this post is a little late. havent been on in a while. i had the same problem and the dr told me that it was my cervix and uterus coming out so they did the surgery
