I am the mother of five beautiful children. I am also 25 years old. Last October I was suppose to have a hystrectomy. Everything was suppose to go except my overies. Well, instead I found out I was pregnant..AGAIN. I decided that having the hytrectomy with my C section would be the best thing since I had all my kids C section anyway and having six surgeries seemed crazy. So I found a Dr willing to do the surgeries together. He however, decided not to take my cervix tho I made it clear that my cervix was to be removed also. I requested he go back and remove my cervix due to increased pelvic pain. He refused. So I found another dr. He agreed to do the surgery. Last Monday I had an abdominal trechelectomy done by an oncoloic gynocologist. So far I love it. Altho I was trying to avoid another surgery I am glad I didn't settle for my OB's half attempt at the surgery. I am wondering if there are any other mother's out there with stories like mine. As women we need to find doctors who listen to us. Understand that we know our bodies better then any man who wrote a book or a paper about 20 paticents from 20 years ago. I had to go thru almost a dozen doctors to get the treatment I needed. I hope all of you out there have the same drive and stubborness to get done what needs to get done. Don't be discouraged.
