We saw Dr. M in Iowa City and he said to do stretching. So we have an appointment June 18th to see if it worked. He said 90% chance it will work and she wont need casts, but her feet arent fixed yet. They arent as bent inward as before but they are no where near normal. My dd will be 2 days shy of 4 months old when we go back and she was about a month old when we first saw Dr. M.
I dont know if he plans on putting her in casts, having me keep stretching her feet, or just move to the brace.
I read on here a woman stretched her babies feet and had to use the brace but not the casts. IDK I am just nervous! I dont want her to be stuck in a brace or casts in the hot summer!
I wonder if he needs them to be 100% normal or if seeing progress is enough?

I don't really have any answers for you but I am interested to hear what the Dr says. My DD is 5 weeks old now and was born with bilateral club feet. The right is all but corrected with stretching from her physical therapist and the Left is still clubbed but not as bad as it was initially. She has been taping her left foot and it seems to really be helping. Thank GOD for the PT cause I haven't even been able to think about her feet for weeks now, with everything else going on with her all I want to do when I'm with her is cuddle her. She still in NICU and going in for surgery tomorrow, and I only get so much time with her before I've got to come home and care for my other kids.
