Looking For Dr. Los Angeles

Hi all,

I'm new here and just discovered about a week ago that my baby boy (due in January) has a club foot.  How does one go about finding a good Dr. to treat the condition?

Is there anyone in the Los Angeles area that can recommend a Dr?  Specifically...I'm in the West Valley.

You need to research all you can about the "ponseti method" of treating clubfoot. Don't use a dr that is not ponseti certified, and once you research it you'll understand why. I'm not sure about doctors in CA, as I am from AL and travel to Iowa (where Dr. Ponseti treated patients) for my sons treatment. I can tell you highly recommended doctors are Dr. Morcuende (Iowa) and Dr. Dobbs (St. Louis) there are 2 other doctors and I am drawing a complete blank of their names right now, but they are on the east coast. Congratulations on your new little bundle! He will be here before you know it!

You can see if Shriner's in LA deals with babies for this condition.
