I had my 1st little guy almost 9 years ago.  He was a natural birth and took a whole 5 pushes to get him out!!!  I was thinking that when I had my 2nd about 20 months ago that I would have the same easy delivery!  Boy was I WRONG!!!  I have a feeling I ended up with a c-section mostly because the Dr. wanted to go home.   I REALLY didn't want one but he said that with my little contractions his heartbeat was dropping and he didnt want to see what would happen when I had a big one.  So we ended up having a c-section.  Here I am preggo again and due only 2 months after my little guy turns 2!!!!  I am hoping for a VBAC!!!  This time I am not going to let them dissuade me or scare me!!!!

I am also pregnant with number 3.  I have an almost 9 yr old daughter and have had 2 csections.  I have already explained to my dr that I will be laboring at home until I feel I'm ready to come to the hospital.  I want things my way and I think I can do it naturally, which is what I wanted the first time!  My daughter was born a wk early.  I was just anxious to get things rolling and that was a mistake.  My dr wouldnt' try and move her after she told me she was stuck in my pelvis.  I told her to stick her hand in there and move her, but she wouldn't.  I ended up with a csection.  Because my water was broken, they didn't want to let me walk around or anything.  I didn't fight for what I wanted then but I def am now.  I'm not going to let anyone bully me and I plan on a VBAC.  It has been 6 yrs since my last and I am in the military.  PT is hard enough for me after having 2 csections and I couldn't imagine having a 3rd.  I hope we both get what we want!

My first child was born via emergency c-section. My second, the doctor was once a c-section always a c-section dr, and scheduled a c-section. I did not fight to even try. With the third child, I went to a midwife and from the first time I saw her, I told her I wanted a vbac. She let me do it and it was fantastic! I went to the hospital at 11am and my daughter was born at 230!

Awesome! I have had two VBAC's and as long as you are strong in your decision you should be fine!  Make sure your doctor is on board with it as well, that is a huge factor!
