If you've followed the Amazon dam
situation and sympathized with the
plight of indigenous people who are pushed aside (a la James Cameron's
Avatar) to make way for highly profitable industry, then the actions of
oil giant Chevron in Ecuador’s Amazon jungle might not surprise you.
Documented in the film "Crude", the filmmaker -- Joe Berlinger -- is
now
gripped in a battle of his own with Chevron.
Remarkably, he has been ordered to hand over 600 hours of footage to
Chevron so they can use it to their benefit.
