Sounds like my daughter shes 17 months...She is starting to throw her temper tantrums..Like last night we removed her from the kitchen n when we tried standing her up to get her to walk to the bedroom she basically dropped to the floor when we tried standing her up gain seh did not want to walk so i picked her up n i put her in her playpen..She hits me,sometimes hits her half sister..She throws her toys, food and sippy cups..If she dont get her way she'll scream n cry till she does which is until she decides to stop cuz i will not give in!

NOT TOO YOUNG!!!  put her in time out for 1 min.  Make sure when you put her there you tell her WHY she is there and if she gets off in the min you put her back WITHOUT communication.  You DO NOT communicate again until the timer goes off, then you tell her again why and tell her she needs to say she is sorry to mommy, don't forget hugs and kisses ;)

No better time than right now.  I started with time outs at one and no one can believe how good he is when he has to be put in time out.  He goes without throwing much of a fit and waits for the bell to go off so we can talk about what he did wrong then we hug and he goes on without to much of a fuss.  Don't bargin during time out that is such a mistake that I see parents make talking to them while they are in time out is really not giving them time to think about their mistake.  Good Luck:0)
