Time Out Check list

1. Give 1 warning(ONLY 1)

2. put on the time out chair

3. explain why they are there

4. set the timer to the time appropriate for the age

5. NO COMMUNICATION FOR THE DURATION OF TIME OUT! ( if they get up put them back w/o words)

6. When time is up explain again

7. Apologies

8. Hugs and kisses

Does that work with 11 yr olds too..when would u start the time outs..i have a 18 month old daughter  

I'm a proud mommy of 2 drama queens...One is turnin 2 in nov and other turned 11 last month! I'm a married,tough loving,god-loving and church going mommy!

go ahead and start with your 18mo old.  As for your 11 yo, I am not really sure.  I will see if there is a way to contact them to ask a question.

I think once they are past the age of 7, time-outs don't work, and you're supposed to take away a privilege or something. If she has a Wii for example, you take away the privilege of playing with it when she's acting up.
