My little boy has eczema since he was about 5 months old. I hate it. It is not the severe but when he gets it it is on his face and I dont like when people ask me what is that on him.

I so know what you mean! I t really burns me up when people stare at Abbie in the grocery line. They wait until we make eye contact then ask something like, "oh dear, has she had chicken pox?". I know it's just an innocent question, but come on! They have no clue how much they hurt and shame her! When I politely tell them it's eczema, they just say, "oh". They have idea what I'm talking about.

My name is Xina .I am 25 and Xoie (3) is the one with this horrid affliction. I know its a little dramatic but she is 3 . That's what we call it . Anyway we have been dealing with this since she was 6 months old. We are pleased to meet you.

My daughter is 20 months old and has had eczema since she was about 3 months old. We noticed it and took her to the doctor and they said that she might be allergic to somthing I was eatting since I was nursing. Finally after taking everything out of my diet we took her to a dermatiolgist when she was about 9 months old and they said she has eczema. She doesnt have it as bad as alot of kids but it gets bad sometimes. She gets it mostly behindher neck, wrists, ankles, and the bends of her arms and legs. We are going to FL this week and I am looking forward to it but I know with the sunscreen on everyday she is going to get so broke out. I hate it for her but its either that or sunburn. My poor baby!
My name is Wendy. I have had eczema since I was 6 months old and my 6 yo son Blake has it too. (Ever try to go to bed with white gloves on you honeymoon? That raised the eyebrow of my hubby.) Blake and I have to be VERY careful about what comes in contact with our skin. I am looking forward to getting ideas for relief and sharing what has worked for us.

My name is Tracey and I have two daughters, my oldest Megan has a very mild case of it, maybe a couple spots on her face but my youngest Kaitlyn she is 15 months old has has it since she was born and its bad, she has it all over her body except her face. The dr is supposed to set up a appointment with the dermotoligist next month so hopefully they can really help. So if anyone could tell me what they are using that is working, I would be greatly appreciative.
My name is Dawn. My 6 month old daughter has had eczema since she was aobuit 1 month old. The doctors kept telling me it was baby acne. Then when she was 2 months old, her entire body was covered in red open skin. So they admitted her into the hospital for fear of infection. So finally they told me it was eczema. I kept trying to tell them it wasnt baby acne!! Well now we have come to learn more how to deal with it & what things make it worse (like the heat in Florida!!) She doesnt seem to mind but I also hate when people say stupid things like "Oh she must be mad, shes all red" & I respond "Nope, she has eczema...."

My name is Marivie (Ma-Ree-V). I have three kids but only my oldest suffers from eczema. She had it since she was maybe 3mos or so. I've been to many doctors for treatment and there is no cure. I've been given tons of cream and lotions and it always creeps back up. I know she hates her skin but I always tell her it'll hopefully get better when she gets older. She hates putting on the creams or lotions because some burn and she itches when it's on. Maybe allergic to certain ones. When she hurts, I hurt.

Hi all this is the one place i need to be, my name is paula and I am in the process of adopting my dd brother, and he has eczema, and although almost everyone in his family has eczema i still need that outside help, and i was wondering if i could still join even thou my dd dont but ds has it he is not in our home yet but i did get to see him and his foster mom keeps it up good i just hope i can too,
