My son's is worse in the winter than during the summer. My eczema is worse when I am under stress or tired. Do you notice a pattern to the fair ups?

Yeah, it gets worse then too be careful not to over dress because rubbing clothes is like itching.

Abbie used to get worse in the winter too. Now that she's a little older the seasons don't seem to matter so much. She's always a little red and irritated, but her flare ups are the worst when she's hot or stressed. I think her biggest problem during the winter is just the dryness in general. Certain fabrics just drive her crazy too.

My daughter knows when her eczema is bad in the seasons better than I could tell you. I think she has told me before she tries to avoid playing with the other kids in school because the florida heat makes her break out. and when it's pollen season she tries to wear clothes to cover all her skin even if it's blazin hot outside. Winter time she's ok I think because she's all covered up. I haven't had any problems lately and it's summer so hopefully she'll be good to go before school starts.

It breaks my heart! How old is your daughter? She sounds like Abbie (8yrs). She will try to wear long sleeve shirts and pants in the middle of summer. We live in southeast Louisiana and it is HOT! She is so embarassed though. I really hate it for her.

Yeah i know not to overdress. He gets it more on his face well his cheeks than any other part of his body. He doesnt seem to scratch it. But my ped said to keep his body moisturized and she had told me about CETAPHIL. I bathe him in it and then put cream on his body and then lotion. That stuff is pricey.

Kayla's dermatologist said her eczema would begin to get better during the summer Florida months bc the humidity would help to keep her skin moisturized. But I totally don't see a difference!!

We're from Louisiana and the humidity is horrible here and believe me it doesn't do anything to improve Abbie's skin either. Heat is heat and she hates it! lol
