We are all here because we share the love of dogs, and most likely own one or more!  Have fun!  Share what you want!   All that is required is some common courtesy.

If you have a question, please check our FAQ's before posting it.  You may find answers already waiting for you!  People tend to get tired of reading and replying to the same thing multiple times, and you may not get many answers to something that has already been discussed numerous times.  There is also the search post option at the left of the screen, you'll find more answers there already.

If you are posting a picture and/or story of a graphic nature, please put a warning in the title of the post.  Some members would like to steer clear of those images, and more importantly, some may have a young child sitting with them, who don't need to be subjected to it.  A simple *graphic* added to the beginning or end of your title when making the post is all that is required.  It is a horrible reality these days, and won't be "censored", as long as there is a warning attached to it.  It is also very simple to go and edit your post, and add the warning.

One thing that will NOT be permitted is flaming/name calling/anything else of a negative personal nature.  It is one thing to disagree respectfully of someone else's opinion (which is permitted, and encouraged!  We all do things differently, and sometimes looking at things from a different angle is very helpful!)  However we will NOT allow someone to state that another person is "stupid" or whatnot for thinking a certain way or doing a certain thing.  Posts that violate this will be deleted.

This (Cafemom) is a site for moms.  Which means that we all have kids walking around, possibly looking over our shoulder.  And some of them may be able to read what we are saying.  That being said, no cuss words will be permitted here.  If you wouldn't want a child to read what you just wrote, then please go back and edit to a "PG" type word.  This is a family friendly group, since the kids love looking at all the pics of the dogs! 

This is NOT a place to sell your dog or puppies,  so if you post trying to sell your dog or puppy your post will be deleted and you will be warned!  As far as advertising goes, we will allow dog related information, as long as that doesn't get abused.  If you have a product to sell, by all means, let us know about it.  One time is enough.  Replying to every thread with your info, saying the same thing in a new thread every day, messaging every member with it... will be deleted and dealt with.  Advertising a product that does not apply to a dogs group will be immediately deleted.  There are plenty of other places to promote your products!

Off topic (OT) subjects are permitted, as long as they are labeled as such.  This is a group for dog lovers, thus anything "non-dog" would be considered OT.   Just add the OT to the end of your topic subject line, and those that want to read only about dogs, can skip the post.

And always remember, this is a PUBLIC site.  Meaning people that aren't members can still read the posts you make.  PLEASE think twice before ever posting your email address, or even worse things like your phone number, actual address, etc.  There are creeps out there!
