Hi everyone!
My name is Anne. I live on the beautiful Oregon Coast, a little over an hour away from the Roloffs. My family loves the show. My 14 yr. old daughter especially likes it. She had a big crush on Jeremy for about a minute!!! Anyway, since we live in a small town, we often have to go out to the Portland area for shopping, etc. We always wonder if we will run into the Roloffs at Costco, Fred Meyer or Target....places they seem to shop at alot on the show. The other day we were driving by a car wash and my daughter saw Matt in his maroon SUV waiting in line. It's too bad that Matt apparently has a problem with driving under the influence. The parents of a former co-worker of mine live adjacent to the Roloff farm. They have had numerous run-ins with Matt over the years. The locals don't appreciate the traffic when the pumpkin patch is open. We haven't gone there, yet. I want to find a time this fall to go when it isn't crazy busy. I don't like crowds!
I think Amy takes the kids' side too much. She is constantly intervening when Matt is getting after the kids. She undermines his authority. That is why the kids are so disrespectful to him. Not that Matt is a saint. He would drive me crazy if he were my husband. I think he is ripe for a mid-life crisis, maybe that's what the DUI is all about??? Anyway, I love the show. I especially like the kids. They crack me up with all of their shenanagins. And when I see their house as messy as it is, I don't feel so bad about my own house!!!!

yeah, I know what ya mean...Amy is very tough on Matt...there are times tho, he kind of deserves it, but other times I will feel bad for him. I agree about the kids tho.........they don't show him enough respect, but then on the other hand, he doesn't really demand it either. He needs to call them on it. I love the fact there house looks "normal" and cluttered. A busy household like theres, with a bunch of kids would have a household like that. It looks so realistic! And they are a normal family like you and i with there own lil dysfunction to it! lol,. Thats why I love the Roloffs!!
