What do you think it means when you show a friend, a family member, or your son's Tae Kwon Do (TKD) teacher a video of your child doing something that you are proud of & they say absolutely nothing?
My 9 year old son takes classes for TKD.
Yesterday, one of his teachers sat next to me while I was showing another mom a video of my son doing some flips in his gymnastics class.
So, I decided to show the teacher the video too.
Well, after he had seen it, do you know what he said,
Absolutely nothing. He didn't say a word, not a smile, nothing, and I thought that was kinda weird.
I feel that when the teacher said nothing, he was actually trying to say that he either didn't care or that he wasn't impressed with what my son could do.
I wasn't expecting him to jump up & down, a simple that's nice would have been fine.
(I had also shown a similar video to his 1st TKD teacher and he was all smiles and actually seemed proud and impressed with my son. We had to change TKD teachers when we moved. We miss that teacher. )
Anyways, lately, I've been getting the impression that this teacher is somewhat jealous of my son, if that makes any sense.
So, what do you think my son's TKD teacher was trying to say when he said absolutely nothing after seeing the video of my son?
I really want to know what ya'll think.
Would something like this bother you too?
Thank you for reading this far. :)
