A NOTE FORM ACLJ VERY GOOD

1/30/2010

It was the worst attack on American soil, a tragedy that rallied the nation as never before.  Now, the terrorists behind the 9/11 attacks could be given the same rights afforded to U.S. citizens ... and tried in civilian courts rather than in military tribunals.

This is an absolute outrage, a wrong move by President Obama's Administration, placing concern for terrorists above our national security.

I've just added my name to the ACLJ's nationwide online PETITION TO KEEP TERRORISTS OUT OF CIVILIAN COURTS, and I invite you to do the same.  The email below - from the American Center for Law and Justice - has more information....

-----------------------

There's been a major development in the war on terror.  We're making history ... bad history.

Imagine our military heroes being forced to administer Osama bin Laden his Miranda Rights at the moment of capture.  It's absolutely outrageous.

Possibly even more egregious is the fact that allowing terrorists their day in criminal court gives them a broad platform from which to spew hatred and draw others to their cause.

Add your name now to our nationwide PETITION TO KEEP TERRORISTS OUT OF CIVILIAN COURTS!

Rarely does one decision carry as many national security ramifications as the recent decision by President Obama's Department of Justice to give the terrorist mastermind of the 9/11 attacks full due process rights and access to our domestic criminal courts

It's absolutely incomprehensible.  By choosing to prosecute Khalid Sheikh Mohammed under civilian law rather than in a military commission, the Justice Department has committed a number of blunders that jeopardize national and local security.

Fortunately, some in Congress have raised their voices in clear opposition to this crucial misstep by the Obama Administration and Attorney General Eric Holder.

Legislation has been introduced in the United States Congress that will prohibit the trials from being moved out of military commissions.  The ACLJ is working vigorously to assist in this effort.

Make no mistake, it is a sad day in U.S. history when terrorists are given the right to have their war crime cases tried in civilian courts ... on U.S. soil.

This dangerous move undermines the war on terror.  The terrorists who attacked American citizens on American soil are now going to receive the same rights as American civilians? ... rights afforded us under the U.S. Constitution?

Never in American history have we granted an enemy of the state a civilian trial and given them the platform of a civilian court.

Please sign our PETITION TO KEEP TERRORISTS OUT OF CIVILIAN COURTS immediately!

NO TERROR TRIALS IN CIVILIAN COURTS!

  • First, this wrong-headed decision means that some of the very best evidence may not be used out of concern that it will compromise national security.

  • Second, an enemy combatant is not given the full Miranda Rights that are administered to a common criminal.  This introduces the possibility that much of the subsequent investigation and evidence will not be allowed in a criminal court.  The result is far fewer tools for prosecuting the very worst terrorists.
There is no rational justification for these terrorists gaining access to domestic courts.  The decision jeopardizes the chance of a vigorous prosecution AND the security interests of our nation.

Join with us, by signing our online PETITION TO KEEP TERRORISTS OUT OF CIVILIAN COURTS ... and then use our website's forward-to-friend tool to urge those in your circle of influence to do the same.

Thank you for standing with us in this crucial nationwide campaign.  God bless you.

One Light Bulb at a Time

A physics teacher in high school, once told the

students that while one grasshopper on the railroad tracks wouldn't

slow a train very much, a billion of them would. With that thought

in mind, read the following, obviously written by a good American ..

         Good idea .. . . one light bulb at a time . . . .

Check this out . I can verify this because I was in Lowe's the other
day for

some reason and just for the heck of it I was looking at the hose

attachments.. They were all made in China . The next day I was in Ace

Hardware and just for the heck of it I checked the hose

attachments there. They were made in USA . Start looking ..

In our current economic situation, every little thing we buy or do
affects

someone else - even their job. So, after reading this email, I think
this

lady is on the right track. Let's get behind her!

My grandson likes Hershey's candy. I noticed, though, that it is
marked

made in Mexico now. I do not buy it any more.

My favorite toothpaste Colgate is made in Mexico ... now

I have switched to Crest. You have to read the labels on everything
..

This past weekend I was at Kroger. I needed 60 W light bulbs and
Bounce dryer sheets. I was

in the light bulb aisle, and right next to the GE brand I normally
buy was an off-brand

labeled, "Everyday Value." I picked up both types of bulbs and
compared the stats -

they were the same except for the price..

The GE bulbs were more money than the Everyday Value brand but the

thing that surprised me the most was the fact that GE was made in
MEXICO

and the Everyday Value brand was made in - get ready for this - the
USA in

         a company in Cleveland , Ohio .

So throw out the myth that you cannot find products you use every day
that

         are made right here..

So on to another aisle - Bounce Dryer Sheets....yep, you guessed it,

Bounce cost more money and is made in Canada .. The Everyday Value

brand was less money and MADE IN THE USA! I did laundry yesterday

and the dryer sheets performed just like the Bounce Free I have been
using

for years and at almost half the price!

My challenge to you is to start reading the labels when you shop for

everyday things and see what you can find that is made in the USA -
the

job you save may be your own or your neighbors!

If you accept the challenge, pass this on to others in your address
book so

we can all start buying American, one light bulb at a time! Stop
buying

         from overseas companies!

(We should have awakened a decade ago)

Let's get with the program.....help our fellow Americans keep their
jobs and create more jobs here in the USA
