Ok I am debating on doing this for christmas.  I usually do a ham and a turkey this way the family can have one or the other or both.  lol.

Does anyone have any good recipes or tips for doing a turkey brine?

Thanks everyone!!

3 gallons water (or more if needed to cover turkey)

2 cups salt

1 cup brown sugar

1 bottle Dale's sauce

Soak turkey over night in fridge.  Then bake or smoke turkey

It is used for marinating.  you find it in the store where other bottles of marinate and worcestershire sauce and steak sauces are.  Very good on steaks.  It just gives the turkey a good flavor.  hope that helps.

Hello there.

Go to Food Network's Alton Brown Turkey Brine.  We used it this year for Thanksgiving and it was wonderful.  Food Network says it is the most requested!  It was very juicy and tasted wonderfull!!!..  Good luck!
