sun tea is one of the first things that comes to mind, it is a summer staple in our house .

take gallon glass jug and fill w/ cold or hot water, put 4 lg tea bags in and put top on , set in sun on porch or out in sun and let sit all day if you want , bring inside and pour over ice and enjoy or bring in hrs before meal time and refrigerate to get cold .

you can also get flavored tea bags and make flavored sun tea that way. I know this is,nt much but hope it helps.

OK this probably sounds weird, but I make all the hot flavoered herbal teas and then put them on ice.  I love chamomile, mango, honey lemon, raspberry.  and to me hot tea extracts way more flavor than those iced tea mixes.

Hi there!!  Okay, so a very simple yet yummy variation on the sun tea above (brew the sun tea as she explains above) and then plop in a can of frozen lemonade and mix.  The tea acts like the water you would normally use and it makes a home made and delicious Arnold Palmer!  My hubby lives on it during the summer.

Enjoy!

Thanks for the great idea.  I just made my first batch of the season of sun tea but will definitely try this next.

Hi,

I mix RASPBERRY HERBAL TEA 5-7 bags with 2-3 cups with hot water, let it steep for 20 minutes then add no sugar added apple juice. Serve over Ice...really refreshing.

Hi there... those other recipes sound great.  We used to always do sun tea, but im in a city were there is barely any sun.  My weird lil thing i do now...my dh is a big hot tea drinker (cooked in a tea pot and all).  I take the left over tea, mix with water (its usually pretty strong)-add my sugar and lemon and toss in the freezer.  In a couple of hours its nice and slushy.  I also did this with green tea, some honey and lemon-and it was yummy.  Its just my way of making sure we dont waste all the tea my dh drinks and i get the drink i want :)

Hi there, I make suntea for dh(he likes that best) and add frozen peaches or berries for the ice cubes, once it's chilled.  Super yumptious.

I also drink herbal, green and black teas brewed from loose leaf tea, a teapot and teaball/strainer.  I know it sounds old fashioned, truly it's the best tea you'll ever taste.  After it's done brewing, I pour it in a heatproof pitcher and chill it.  I drink it iced and will also use the frozen fruit for my tea, too.

I get my tea from The Tea Smith.
