Is it worth it to go and get the equipment? Is it worth the wait time? (Isn't it a month?) If you don't bottle it, say you want to drink it from a pint, how do you keep it fresh?

I was going to start doing it but I put it off. I think it would be really cool and If all is done correctly your beer will taste amazing. I actually got a 'for dummies' book Home Brewing for Dummies..LOL.. I know that sounds funny but it is really informative and it tells you everything you need to know to get it going.
