Welcome!
I created this group with the hopes of sharing common practices of Pagan Moms. Books you like, books you want to read, books you want your kids to read. How do you introduce your child/ren to your beliefs?
I am an Eclectic Pagan, have been for about 14 yrs or so. Sometimes I strayed and didn't do any "practicing", other times I was totally devoted. My children are 12, 10, and 5. I take them to ritual with me, when I can. I include them in my practices at home.
Another issue we, as Pagan Moms, face is dealing with a spouse of a different faith, or family members who don't accept us.
Anyways, welcome to the group, and I hope we can all learn and grow through this sharing process.

My name is Nikki. I am a mom to four children. They are ages 12, 10, 8, and 5. Two boys and two girls. I am not strictly pagan. But have an eclectic belief system. I am very spiritual and am raising my children this way as well. I am looking forward to meeting like minded moms.

Hi everyone. I'm Angela, I'm 23, and I have a 2 yo daughter and a son due March 4th. I consider myself an ecclectic (sorry, I can't spell) pagan, and have been for about 8 years. Before that I went to a Christian church with my mother, but never really felt any connection. The past 2 years or so, I haven't really been practicing, but now my daughter is getting older and I want to be able to bring her up in my faith, so I'm tryin to get more involved.

Hi Everyone! Sorry It took me so long to reply.
My name is Carol. I have 3 little ones ages 3, 1 1/2, and 6 months. They keep me rather busy. I have been searching for my path for the past few months and believe that I have finally found it. It is a Shamanistic path. As my kids get older and are more able to understand, I will take them with to Drumming circles and plan to spend a lot of time with them out in nature. My husband is an Odinest, and he already reads the Nordic myths to them at bed time. We are currently looking for a childrens book of the Nordic myths, because they are rather graphic in nature in the "Adult" book he has.
I am excited to meet everyone, and I'm really sorry to have taken so long to post.

Hi there. My name is Stephanie (but go by Steph) and I am a 23 year old mother to a 4 year old girl. Here is a little background: My mother is a christian (baptist) and my dad (i think, is an atheist). My mom goes to church almost every Sunday. I was baptised as a southern baptist when I was younger, and I thought that I had a good connection with God there, and thought all was well. However, as I grew up I began to have many, many doubts, and started not to understand and relate to everything the church was preaching to me. I would not say that I am following any religious path at the moment. Though, my daughter and I live with my parents and we take my daughter to church with my mother and I, but right now I don't think she is too gung-ho about God, she just knows what she's been taught about it and occasionally talks about Jesus and such, but I don't know about her yet. I need to find a path that works for me first, before I try to get her into a certain path. However, it's really hard to explore with my mother being a devout christian. I feel like i have lost faith in most everything and don't know how or where to get it back and what/who to put my faith in. I feel that it would help me to be a better person and to help understand mothering and to be a better mother. But, I'm confused. A while back, I started looking into online this sort of faith called Chandria, but quickly got away from it because it's hard to practice alone and in secret. I am kind of at a loss as to what direction to go in my faith and beliefs. Any sort of ideas or advice? thanks!!

Hi. My name is Rachel and I've been an eclectic pagan for some years. I think I always have been with a short tangent in Catholicism.
I stated that my spiritual path is eclectic because I'm just not sure what to call myself. I guess I'm not ready to jump into anybody's "box", per se.
I believe that all of creation is made up of particles held together by energy.
That Energy is Spirit.
Everyone views Spirit differently depending upon who they are and what their background is. I see Spirit as She Who Birthed the World. This is how I view Her when I speak to Her, dance for Her, sing to Her, etc.
I believe that what people consider magic is the same as prayer in another religion. The accouterments to work magic are only tools to focus your mind and, therefore, the energy involved. As a knife is neither good nor bad [it can be used to cut off a piece of bread for a hungry person or kill someone], so magic is neither good nor bad. It is solely directed by the intention of the user. I do believe in the Three-Fold Rule and have seen it in swift action myself. To me, it's the same as the Golden Rule. Amazing how differing religions can have the same teachings at their heart, isn't it?
I was raised without any religious training but had innate beliefs that I have returned to in adulthood, having taken a side trip through Catholicism in my late teens/early adulthood.
[That's a bit from my witchvox profle]
Anyways, I look forward to talking with other mothers. :-)
Loving Blessings.

Welcome to the group Rachel!
I very much agree that different religions often have the same beliefs, yet call them different things.
And someone once told me, "Spells are just prayer with props." I think that fits into what you are saying about magic.

Hello, my name is Samantha. I have a 5 week old lil girl named Tabitha. Yes her and I are both named after the show bewitched. Honestly I'm a little out of "practice" but I would like to start including my daughter.
Nice to meet you Samantha. How cute that you were both named after Bewitched characters. Awesome.
And I think at that age, it's a very simple thing to include them in things. Just put her in one of those sling things.. I forget what they are called. But even the simplest things such as blowing bubbles can fascinate her. And she'll be much more used to things when she's older and walking.

Thanks Jaiden_Z!
I just think some people need the props for focus, a lot like when a catholic uses the rosary beads. :-)
It's wonderful that there's a group like this available.
