This is a thread for you to tell us a bit about yourself.

I am 24, almost 25.  I have been married to my highschool boyfriend for 2 years, today.  We have an 18 month old daughter.  I love to cook and Rachael Ray is right up my alley for flavor.  Not that I don't love a good meal that can be cooked in 30 min, but, I alway add things and change things so my meals take longer.

  • Hi, I'm Megan, 24 and I live in San Diego County with my husband Dave and our 16 month old daughter Sophia. I love Rachel Ray! I love trying to cook like her, but I do make up quite a few of my own recipes. Maybe someday, I'll have my own cookbooks and cookware line, and a TV show! Ha! A girls can dream right!

  • I think that is a fenominal idea, if you can do it.  You could submitt it to her new talk show, she would love it.  Don't forget to give props to the group devoted to her when you go on her show(I want to meet her so bad maybe if you tell her about the group I started she will have me on)

  • You know I think it's a neat idea, but, I just have my trash can right under where I am cooking so I just drop stuff in it(I have a really small kitchen).

  • Hi, my name is Lisa and I'm 32.  I love RachelRay and I'm so sad that they moved her time slot.  I loved it when she was on at 11...now they put Martha there..yuck!  I'm not big into cooking and so the cooking part of her show is fun to watch, but I don't think I could make any of her meals...she uses to much fresh stuff and I can't afford to do that.  I loved all her guests and other ideas she put on the show.  I love her personality...it's like she's the girl next door.

You CAN use dry ingriedients, just use more of it.  I used to think I couldn't afford the fresh ingredients either but I started using them(I still have a TON of dry though)and I actually have to freeze them cuz I dont' used it all.  The main thing to keep in mind when useing dry is to kind of pinch it and crumble it to redevelop the flavors.  Cooking is so much fun don't let things intimidate you just find a way that they will work for you.

  • I ALSO FOUND THAT YOU CAN GET ALOT OF FRESH PRODUCE AT SAVE-A-LOT, ALDI, AND MARC'S....I DON'T KNOW IF THOSE FOOD CHAINS ARE IN ALL PARTS BUT I HAVE BEEN TO ALOT OF SAVE ALOTS IN THE EASTERN US!!!!!  I ALSO TRY TO PLAN RECIPES FOR 2 WEEKS SO THAT IF I NEED SOMETHING KIND OF DIFFERENT I MAY BE ABLE TO USE IT TWICE..
