• I just did it too & up poped my posts in this group only...hmmmmm that is kinda scary, I deleted the the one post I put up.

• whats really horrible when i googled my name this whole group came up and wht everyone has written and people can read it all.. that is scary.. yeah i do not like that at all...

• THere's nothing the group owner can do about this. It is the nature of the internet. Whenever you post in any group or message board online it is "spidered" by the googlebot and depending on the popularity of the site it will show up in google when you search your name or screename.
  
  For me it's a great opportunity to meet other people that are interested  in the same things as me. Isn't that what The Secret is all about? I have met some amazing people that have googled some random things that I have shown up for. They have then contacted me and we have become friends or I have been able to provide them with some information they needed. To me that is the ultimate example of Law of Attraction in ACTION! Meeting people that I would never have known just by attracting them into my life.
  
  I think it's fabulously FUN!!!!
  
  You can even do something that here at CafeMom. Put something that really interests you in the search box and see who comes up. Then reach out to one or two of those people. It's amazing when you set an intention before you do things how just the perfect people will show up!

• The thing is, there are private groups on here. I am an open person...so i don't mind saying that I am part of the grief and loss support group on here as well as the misscarriage and baby death support group. I have over come those things and I want to help others. But those who are dealing with and going through it right now probably don't wan the whole world to know.
  then again, how many of us are using our real names on here? My user name reflects my first initial, my last name and my birthdate...and unless i am willing to e mail a person other info i leave it at that.
  I don't really thinkthis is a big deal but i do think people need to be aware of it.

• It was interesting to read this thread - what comes to my mind is "what are you scared of?"  Think about it - exactly how many people in the world know your screen name and will be looking specifically for you?  I tried to google my screen name and finally gave up after looking at 10 screens!
  
  The reality is that there is a lot of public information available about people both via the internet and various state/county offices.  A new one that's getting lots of press is ancestry.com - they just posted thousand's of military records.
  
  Remember, you control what you post!  If you created a screen name that is too specific, then create another one that is "blind" to who you are.
  
  Ultimately, this is just a forum to share ideas & thoughts.  Enjoy it and the opportunities that come with it!

• Why are you all so afraid of ppl seeing your posts on the Secret??? If you can't be proud of who you are and what you believe - not caring what others think - then what is the point of life??
  
    Try switching the group to Private in your privacy settings...my private groups don't pull up posts. Worth a shot. 
  
   OR,, change your Screename on here. OR, add a new account on here and only use that account to post in the forums you don't want ppl to know about.
  
    Also, it takes the search engines a few days before they refresh their listings. They "cache" info from sites for days at a time. Then they "spider" all the pages the next few days. I am a webdesigner and webmarketer. If you deleted your posts, which I find unneccessary, they will not show up in a few days.
  
  Sorry, I just have an issue with ppl having to hide themselves because I used to do it for so long and killed me inside, my Soul. If ppl care and judge what you believe, Screw em.....they are the ones with the issues then not you.

  I agree with Gina. We are not spreading propaganda but something that is truly working for us and making things happen. So why are we ashamed. Why should we be, yes the small minded people will ridicule and laugh but we know the joys and their taunting or lack of knowledge should never make us as believers in LOA faulter.
