Are you tired of trying to be a good Christian? Are you overloaded and worn out with church activities? Do you sometimes feel as if you’re just going through the motions of the Christian life? Do you often find yourself running on empty spiritually? Do you experience heaviness or shame more than joy and freedom in your Christian life? If you answered yes to any of these questions then perhaps God is calling you to something deeper. Maybe you are ready to experience personal revival.

God wants to reveal Himself to you; He wants to fill your heart with Himself; He wants to set you free from every unholy passion; He wants you to drink deeply of the joys found in His presence; He wants your service for him to be the overflow of genuine love and an authentic life; He wants you to be a reflector of His glory in our dark world He wants you- and His entire church- to be revived!

Clarifying Terms:

Revival is not:

An event that can schedule on a calendar.

Synonymous with evangelism.

Mere emotionalism.

While all these elements may be present in times of revival they do not adequately get to the heart of true Revival. The word revive literally means “to bring back to life.”

A simple definition: revival is what happens when God’s people, whether individually or corporately, are restored to a right relationship with Him. Revival is a supernatural work of God-it is not something we can manufacture or package. A revived church is the greatest means of making God’s great redemptive plan known throughout our world.

As you seek Him with all your hear over these next weeks, our prayer is that God will reveal Himself you in in fresh ways, that He will revive your heart, ant that He will be magnified in and through your life.

May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face to shine upon us, that your way may be known on earth, your saving power among all nations.
                                    Psalm 67:1-2

This study is not to add more “to do” in your life; rather to reveal more of God and His ways to you, to gently expose your heart, and to lead you on a pilgramage toward greater freedom, forgiveness, fullness, and spiritual fruitfulness. You may feel as if you are unrevive-able. But take heart! Our God is a redeeming God; He is in the process of making all things new. And He promises to meet us when we seek Him with all our heart.

Hi... I will be starting a study using the book "Seeking Him" by Nancy Leigh DeMoss and Tim Grissom.  If you want, please get the book or just come check out the posts.

Please join me in seeking to get close to Him.  And, Invite a friend.  The Study will begin Sunday, 1/27/08.  This is a 12 week study that will have a weekly post that gives the scriptures to study for the week and daily posts for us to submit our discussions, reflections and insights.

To actually grow, you must get involved.  Read the posts and meditate on the scriptures for the weekly studies.

I look forward to growing in Christ with you all. Stay blessed and stay connected to the body.

And, just a suggestion... Please if you join late, please try to read through the first few weeks to kind of catch up.
