Has anyone taken kiddos to see it yet? Scary, sad, crude? DD loves the old Muppets movies but I'm not sure how much this new one is like the old ones.
Not scary, sad or crude at all! Our family went - my kids are 7 and 9 - and loved it. Although there were jokes that went over the kids head it was mostly because the jokes poked fun at the 80s and the 'break' in time between Muppet movies. Like, adults will understand why 80s robot makes a loud noise when using his modem to connect and find information. Kids won't get it.
The movie was sweet and classic 'family friendly' Muppet.
As soon as we got home we had to download the soundtrack from iTunes and it's all my kids will listen to. My daughter is asking if we can buy her the DVD already. ROFL!

In light of my "Home Alone" blunder, it's good to see a positive review of a family movie in the theater. My son loved the experience of seeing "Winnie the Pooh"...eating popcorn, hotdog and looking around to see where the projector room was.
