We all know the nursery rhyme:
Row, row, row your boat,
Gently down the stream.
Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily,
Life is but a dream.
I've been wondering about it for a while. On the surface, it conjures up in one's mind a happy scene of a boat rocking gently as it travels down a stream...with the passenger dozing a bit in the sunshine.
But could it be talking about the "stream of consciousness"?
