I know that we had a discussion previously about this movie when it was first announced. Did anyone see it yet? What did you think?

I really want to see it, but I haven't yet. I've been meaning to before christmas, but that's not gonna happen cuz Christmas just snuck up on me i guess. I will see it though hopefully soon! i love Disney movies, especially the old hand drawn ones seem so much better than the pixar/disney ones.
but I did go to Disneyland and saw Tianna's Riverboat show, my son Ryan loved it. It was soo cute. At first they had a parade and then went on the riverboat and sang songs. I couldn't have planned it better, but I was just at the right place at the right time.

I saw it the weekend before Christmas with my kids and my mom and sister. I thought it was pretty good, but I didn't like it ast much as some of the older movies. (Although I'm sure that is mostly because I'm 24 now, not 8.) I did think it was a cute movie though. I cried during one part, which I won't say what happened because I don't want to spoil anything. I would like to see ti again, but probably not until the dvd is released.
I know everyone seemed to make a big deal about Disney finally having an interracial couple in one of their movies. Although that was the case, it wasn't white/black couple as was the impression I got. Tiana was of course black, but the prince wasn't really white... not sure where he was from, but he was kind of tan, and of course had that accent. Almost seemed like they were trying to make them match a little more or something? I don't know... just seemed weird.

We saw this while we were in Disneyland over Christmas as well - it was Wonderful! The movie is a must-see. I highly recommend it (my daughter is now in love with Jack from The Nightmare befre Christmas).
