(I'll let YOU decide what "older" means.)

Do you feel that your taste in who you're attracted to ages along with you?  For example, when I was 12, I drooled over EVERY boy they put in Bop magazine.  Now, I look and think "Awww what a cute kid!"  Those kids from High School Musical?  No way!  On the other hand, I'm not particularly attracted to the older hotties, either (though I know plenty who are).  Mostly, I tend to be attracted to people in their mid-twenties to mid-thirties--my peer group.  So I wonder if, when I'm 40, I'm going to be setting my sights more toward that age.  Whatcha think?

That's kind of what got me started thinking about this.  I saw a news report about Alzheimer's patients sometimes forget their spouses (even if they're still alive) and find new loves within the home/hospital/hospice/whatever.  I think it's beautiful to be able to fall in love after your life has been almost completely lived.  And they apparently are fine with each other's wrinkles!  i can, though, imagine how heartbreaking it would be for the spouse that got left behind.

I think we will like people around our age group forever.  I did the same thing when I was younger I was in love w Corey Feldman, and now I wouldn't date him if I was single lol.  I think awe what a cutie when I see a cute HS boy.  I get annoyed by the hyper little HS girls I see passing my house all loud and smiley lol.  That use to be me, now I hate it lol.

It seems to me that most women work like that.  I, on the other hand, am way too boy-crazy apparently and like all ages.  I've dated guys as much as 7 years younger (more would have been illegal at the time) and I'm mad for Anthony Hopkins, for instance.  My husband would look ten years younger than he is if it weren't for the grey hair.  He's five years younger than I.  ;-)

It's not that I'm not attracted to younger men, it's just that I don't think that I could keep up with one! I'm 45 and I'm just not into the fashion, and the tat's, and the music and all that comes with being around younger people.
Besides, these days, a graying guy can still be great looking if he takes care of himself.

I think as you age your taste changes.  My kids have told me that my taste has steadily gone down hill, LOL  But I couldn't hang with the younger crowd and would rather hang with someone my own age.  And it would be just my luck that I'd find a guy, we'd get older together, he'd get Alzheimers (sp?) and leave me for someone else his nurse or whomever!  All the young guys now in their 20's etc., I call them kids, I think in large part because I have kids their age.  I'm not even known to some people by my name, I'm Andrew's Mom, or Danny or Chelsea's Mom.

Yeah, I can relate to that...I'm only 25, but at my age, 5 years makes a big difference.  20 year olds are just STUPID.  All of them.  The boys, I mean.

Most of the guys I used to be really attracted to, or at least their type, I'm still attracted to.  Steve Tyler will be 97 years old, toddling down the street with a walker and I'll still swoon when I see him.....talk about giving "walk this way" a whole new meaning.  I adore Sean Connery, and Harrison Ford but I also like the younger guys like Vin Diesel and LL Cool J but they fall into that "type" category that I will always be attracted to.
