I've joined a couple of groups that seem like they'd be REALLY awesome...if you could "get in." You know what I mean? Like, everyone already knows what's going on in everyone else's lives, so the posts are all full of inside jokes, and it seems like the newcomers never really get responded to. It feels like being the new kid at the popular girls' table. No one's "not liking" you, but you don't know how to get a word in, and as such, no one really notices you.
Is this group like that? I mean, a lot of us have been hanging out here for a good long while, so yeah, we know each other's ins and outs, but I feel like I'm still making new friends in here all the time. I like to think that the discussions are open to everyone's input, and that people are feeling like their opinions are accepted and respected.
But, if that's NOT the case...I want to know!
Also, while I've got your attention, I encourage everyone to click on "search posts" and look for the "Question for...." posts (you know, "Question for the Jews," "Question for the lesbians," etc...). I think that we've learned a lot about each other from those posts, and I'd love to hear the input from people who weren't around when they were originally posted. ALSO, PLEASE feel free to post your own questions about the cultures and lifestyles represented here!!!!
You have NO IDEA how badly I want some Chili's boneless buffalo wings right now. OH MY GOD. Um...digression much? Sorry.

Nevermind. I bumped all the "question" posts....the search brought up 105 posts, so I fished through them for you. :-)

hi- I just joined too- and I already had a few nice welcome posts. It is very nice that you asked. I think once we (the new members) see a discussion topic we feel strongly about and start answering posts, it will fall into place.
At least I hope.
I know what you mean, though. There are a few groups I feel "in" with and others I feel likle I'm at the looser lunch table.
