If you were homeless (not "crashing on your best friend's couch" homeless, but "fire in a barrel, blanket under an overpass" homeless) what do you think you'd miss the most?

Wow, what a question...  I think I'd miss the freedom to do things with my family.  Time together is so important to me.  I'm just assuming that if I were homeless I'd be busy trying to survive, whether they're with me or not.

Shower was the first thing to come to mind, but that's pretty superficial. I'll have to give this some thought.

Hehe...I didn't go too deep with it, either.  My first thought was a working toilet with toilet paper, but honestly, if I could shower, I could do without that, so shower would be my pick, too.

My privacy.  I would definitely miss my privacy.

Safety. Some of the highest crime rates are among the homeless.

I'm with you on the hot shower.

I can answer this one from experience. I missed my family, my computer, my privacy, my own bed that no one else has slept on, and a few other things that I cannot think of now.

I would miss my own bed, my privacy, my toilet, my shower, and my fridge.  I think....  I guess I wouldn't really know unless it happened.

Here's hoping you never have to go through that again, Meg.

I would desperately miss D, because if I were in that position, although it would be the hardest thing I'd ever have to do, I would temporarily give him to family so that he could be safe. My heart hurts thinking about it.
And Meg, I hope you never have to face that again.
