Do any of the breeders in the group have websites? I've just recently began building our site. The URL is ... http://www.psychedelicfur.viviti.com/ If you have a site please post your URLs. I'll be adding a link page to our site soon and would like to include anyone here who has a rabbitry website.
Not to irritate anyone, BUT, the house rabbit societies and other house-bun groups do NOT recommend purchasing bunnies through breeders or pet-stores. In fact, they DO strongly advise against it as there are SO many bunnies (many already spayed or neutered and home-trained) available for adoption, that finding homes to foster bunnies is becoming impossible. For this fact, MANY bunnies are euthanised on a daily basis.
So, for now, breeding of bunnies (for pets) is completely discouraged, and by extension, purchasing via breeders is also as highly discouraged. IF you want a bun, your local House Rabbit Society (look them up online) IS the first place to go! Believe me, there is NEVER a shortage of rabbits, so breeding for pets is far from necessary.
We don't want to become like some countries who are rounding up bunnies and BURNNG THEM FOR FUEL to heat homes, businesses, and government buildings, right? Yes, it's horrible and yes, it IS because, left to their own devices, bunnies will reproduce, well; like BUNNIES.
