The only company I have worked for out of these is Accutran very briefly. Just so you know, it's not a set your own hours company, you have to work their set hours and it's usually slow unless there are financial earnings calls. You have to be able to do a file as soon as you get it, send it, get the next file, send it.
They're VERY nice people, but it's not an ideal opportunity for a mom of young kids.
Right now I work with Allegis and Rapid Text and love them both!
www.mountainwestprocessing.com is a company that hires with little experience if you're looking to get your foot in the door.
Transcription will not immediately make you rich. Your fingers will hurt, your butt will hurt, sometimes you'll want to pull your hair out. But once you are used to it, you can make decent money with minimal hours!

Thanks. I have never did this at home but these are the companies mentioned on going in the work at home forums. I do hear about the demand on the work sometimes and they aren't as lenient as other jobs though. Thanks for mentioning the other company. I can add that to the list.

www.ctunited.com is a brand new forum with a lot of legit transcription companies that hire only work at home workers. The lists are updated at least once a month.
The site is brand new, but there's still alot of good info on it and it is run by people who've been in the business for a while and make their living doing this. It's worth checking out!
