TMI- Is this a sign?

i woke up to not pink, but red-ish show this morning after having contractions for 3-4 hours last nite before i fell asleep. when i woke up this morning i saw blood, it was kind of mucuosy and so far only 2 contractions in the last hour.

is this a sign? my "plug" has already been lost and im dialated to 4. i just dont want to get my hopes up, lol. btw im 38 weeks and 5 days with my second child. i didnt have this show with my first.

It could be a sign...I would definatly go to dr and make sure your placenta is still healthy if you have more than just a spot of blood...also if you had sex 24 hours prior it can make you have some spotting.  Good Luck!!
