Welcome to the Coupon Trains.
What is a coupon train?
A coupon train is where ladies across the U.S. agree to mail coupons to one another. Usually a train consists of 5 to 8 or more ladies. You recieve a packet of coupons from one of the ladies on your train... You take what you need, throw away the soon to be expired ones, and replace with NEW coupons. Then you mail it to the next person on the list. In this way the train goes from lady to lady and the coupons change each time. Sometimes you can request certain types of coupons be sent to you, or you can send special coupons on to someone else that may need them. In this way you create and are part of... a Train...
Why?
Well, 1.. we like getting mail. 2. Coupons are not always exactly the same all across the country. So items that they are advertising in the northwest are different fromthe south east. :) 3. Coupons save us money!!!!! 4. Its a nice way to get coupons for the items you use that you may not be able to get out of your own newspaper.
Ok.. anyways.
THE RULES!!
1. Coupon packets are to be limited to 50ish coupons per envelope. 50 coupons will generally be covered by a single stamp. If you are sending more than this and the weight of your envelope is in question place extra stamps on it, or if reallllly in question.. take it to the post office. Nothing worse than being on the recieving end of a coupon train and get those nice little yellow sticky on your door saying "POSTAGE DUE".
2. If you are on one of my Progressive trains like the X train. You will need to POST here when you recieve and sent out your "train" so the other ladies on the train can track the progress of the train and know when to be on the look out for that pretty little envelope in the mail. If we don't hear from you for a while.. someone will be tracking you down and bugging you about wether you got the train or not and did you send it out and where did it go.. bla bla bla.. (that someone is normally ME).
3. IF!!! For any reason you need to be removed from one of these trains. MAIL ME ASAP. Or post here.
4. IF!!!! For any reason you can't mail your coupons due to vacations, family emergencies, bla bla bla (like if your on the Y train that mails every monday...).. Once again.. I need an email or a post. Me or someone else can cover your weekly coupons while your gone. Or the person you are mailig will know not to expect any for a week or two.
5. IFFFF!!!.. you have any questions, suggestions, ideas, or just want to know something or announce something.. PLEASE feel free to email me, or Post here. :)....
6. HAVE FUN!
7. SAVE MONEY!
8. LABLE YOUR COUPON TRAINS!!!. In Bottem Left corner of your envelopes write what train you are sending. the Z-1 the Y train the x-4, Extra's., what ever it is.. so the person receiving the train knows what it is for.

Ok. Seems I have already confused a few people as to my "2" types of trains. So here they are nicely explained.
TYPE 1 (X Train Format)
The X train format is a real train with a slight modifier. OK so you have 8 ladies on a train ...Ladies 1, 2, 3, 4,5, 6, 7, 8.....
Lady 1 Makes up a packet of 50 coupons with a TRAIN LIST of all the other ladies). Lady one sends to Lady 2.... Lady 2 Dances for joy.. she's got mail!!!.. she goes through the coupons she has recieved.. pulls out what coupons she wants.. throws away any that are close to expiring, and replaces them with New coupons. She then sends the packet to lady number 3..... Lady number 3.... dances for joy..she's got mail.... etc etc etc. you get the pictures:)
The Variation I do on this particular train is instead of just 1 packet going through 8 ladies which can take anywhere up to 2 months to go from lady 1 to lady 8..... I do my Variation. I have trains x-1, x-2, x-3, and x-4 trains. There are 4 packets that go through the train. So if the train is running smoothly then at least once every 2 weeks you should recieve one of the 4 trains and send them on again instead of waiting for 2 months... Essentially it is just more mail/coupons for everyone to share.
*******************************************************************
TYPE 2. (Y format train).
THE Y train format is the simplier of the 2 trains. Y train can have any number of people on the train. Each lady has a Designated Person they mail to. EVERY SINGLE MONDAY.. Like clock work. EVERY Monday.. You mail your "designated person" a packet of 50 coupons. In return Someone else has you as their "designated person" and THEY mail you coupons every monday. So every week you get coupons and send coupons and there is no waiting.
Any Questions?. Mail me:)
