So, tell us how your story is going. Do you like how it is turning out? Are your characters behaving the way you thought they would or have they gone in a completely different direction?
Where do you hope you'll be at the end of the day?
First, I think no matter what your word count is, the fact you're trying is awesome and you're doing fantastic!
Second, don't be discouraged if your word count isn't as high as everyone elses. It is yours that matters and just try to get through your personal goals! I know you can make it!
Good luck ladies!
I am going to try and see where my character is taking me next. I am working on writing at least the daily word count goal of 1667 and then just writing until my muse says to stop!! Which she did last night at 8pm. I was alright with that cause I hit the daily word count for yesterday and then some. I feel in a funk and so do my characters. It will be interesting what happens next! Hopefully I can find another funny scene to write, cause that is when my muse comes alive!!!
Again, Good luck! You can make it!!
Sandy

My story is going okay. There is a few places that I need to finish up. LOL They had their first kiss and for the life of me I can't wrap it up, so I started writing the next section. I just need to remember to go back and finish it :P
I couldn't sleep last night so I was up until 2am hacking away on the keys and am very happy with the progress I made last night.
I'm already at 17170 words so I'm hoping by tonight I will be at 18000.
So far....

My goal for today is to just "find" my story again. I don't know what happened but I lost it. I think the last scene I worked on was "wrong". The funny part is I liked the dialogue in the scene but it just doesn't work. It doesn't advance the story the way it should. I might need to change the POV or something.
But because I was stuck on that I was having a hard time sneaking words in so I wrote nothing yesterday. The days before that even when I had a ton of distractions I was still able to write because the story was just pouring out.
So last night I took my print out into my room with the baby (so my husband could sleep on the couch). I was going to finish reading it (making little notes to myself...just blatant spelling/grammar errors that stuck out and things that didn't make sense or I forgot) and then start writing again.
The baby had other ideas and threw a huge fit all night (very unlike him). I finally had to feed him another bottle at 11:30pm just to get him to calm down and that took a half hour, lol, so there went my word count for the day. Sigh.
FINALLY got him to go to sleep but still couldn't find my story. So, instead I started writing out which characters were in which chapters and made a little "map" or chart of them. I had a lot of fun with that and mapped out about 20 more chapters with permission to change it as I see fit.
Now I at least have some reference as to where I want to go (I only had a rough outline before). We'll see what the characters do now. I'm going to skip the chapter I've been stuck on. Maybe I'll figure that out later and just go on ahead to the next mission where the action starts again.
Hoping to get at least 2000 words today. I'm still up by 5000 so I have padding.
Well...just as I found one of my characters another disappears!! But I'm thinking this time it will have more to do with the antagonist than anything else. But my MC and her love interest think that the MC's Grams is just time traveling(which is where my MC gets her ability to time travel!) and they aren't too worried about her right now. So, the chapter I'm working on now and probably the next one will be just "down time" which is really lagging. I need to come up with something really fun to do.
At the write-in I went to they gave me an idea and I'm hoping that I'll be able to use it soon. I might skip ahead(but last year I did that a lot and now I'm totally lost where that story is concerned!) but I really don't want to. I know I can always fix it later.
I am currently at: 17,360 and would like to be at about 18,500 or more by the end of the night.
WTG ladies on your planning and writing!
Sandy
I love my story. It's definitely odd, but I really like it. Obviously, there are major issues to fix up, some of my description at the beginning no longer fit the characters, but otherwise I am happy with it.
I would like to be at 18,000 words tonight, but I am having the world's most stressful day at work, and i don't know if it will happen or not. I may just go to bed.
I'm not sure how my story is going. To be honest I think it's probably just a mess at this point. I kind of switched the POV I was writing it from somewhere along the way. It just wasn't flowing before and it went easier when I switched. But I haven't gone back to redo the first part. And I know there are some errors here and there. But I don't really plan on fixing it at this point. I never intended for this to be a good, shareable novel. I'm just trying to push out the words and get a full story down on paper (or, uh...screen). If it ends up going in a direction I like and I feel okay about it in the end, then I can always edit the heck out of it later. Right now I get very little time to work on it. I might not make it as it is, so I'm not going to spend time rewriting sections.
My goal for today is 2,000 again. But anything over that would be great. I would like to be "caught up" by the 17th. I'm currently about 5,700 behind.
I'm a bit over 18,000 rigth now, and hoping for at least 20000 by bedtime. 21000 would be better.
My story is flowing pretty well, no huge surprises yet, but then again, I am very wordy, and at 18000 words in, I am basially just now getting to the meat of the story.
