And as you sow, so shall you reap. So Mote It Be!

Well, congrats mom on doing everything right! Yes, BF babies are gassy, but it's not because they swallow a lot of air, it's just that their little bellies digest the milk so quickly and it's natural digestion gas. You probably notice baby poots a lot too. Completely normal. I'm just so happy you know that fussiness is the need to burp or poot and that it's not because "baby's not getting enough milk" or something like that. You've only been BF'ing 2 weeks, so your body is trying to make the right amount of milk and doesn't really know right now. Very soon, your boobs will make the exact right amount of milk (AS LONG as you just keep that baby on the booby - bottles aren't really necessary) and there will be NO MORE SPRAYING! ;-) I feel like an old pro at breastfeeding, so if you have questions then please please please contact me and I'll help ya through it.
Baby can always get more milk sucking than a breastpump. That's why a lot of women lose their milk if they depend on a breastpump to get it out.
Oh, and occassional constipation is okay. Don't worry. Keep that in mind when he's 5 months old too. He'll probably go a week without pooping. If baby goes more than a few days without pooping, give him a spoonful of water a couple of times a day - no need for juice or pedialyte those just cause more digestion problems - and the extra water will help as a stool softener. Just a few spoonfuls a day though, not a lot.
