My name is Lexa, and I have 4 young children. I had my first at 24, and can honestly say that every day, every experience brings new insight and wisdom. I am so different than the person I was when I had my oldest- more confident, more mature, and more relaxed. The old saying that with time and experience comes wisdom is so true. I want to be able to share my experience and support with young moms who need it. How does pregnancy affect you? How do I feed my baby? What if I'm alone? Is this normal? Wouldn't you like to hear an answer from another mom who isn't judging you? We will not allow drama or immaturity. We are not here to debate. I promise that you will not get picked on if you are honest with the group and yourself.

I am 37, but I had my two girls when I was 20 and 21.(my girls are now 17 and 16).
I am very good with childrearing issues and I usually have good solutions to just about any situation. I don't know everything and I am honest if there is a question and I don't know the answer. But it is nice to have a team of Moms who can assist and help.....at the very least be empathetic and supportive.

I'm Joy, and I have a 2 year old boy, and a little girl that will be 1 in September. I have worked with preschool aged children for over 8 years. Some of that I have been able to apply to my children, and some of it went out the window. I am looking foward to giving and getting advice:)

I'm Susan, I have a three yr old daredevil boy and currently pregnant with my second. I admit, I don't have all the answers, I've done a lot of growing and learning as my son grows, but I'm hoping to help out when I can. As a young mom I'm hoping to take my experiences and help out others who are young moms. I'm also hoping to learn a lot from the older moms!

Well, since my mother and I do not have a very good relationship b/c of my chaotic and neglectful childhood, and since she is not a very good grandma, I feel I missed out on the mother/daughter relationship and so I was always that friend of your daughter's of your son's girlfriend that you just loved and adored. The one that always talked to you and helped you out. The one that would hang out w/ you even when your daughter/son wasn't around. My MIL loves me and I adore her. I will be seeking a lot of advice probably, but since I have been figuring things out quite well on my own for a long time, I also have lots of advice to give to first-time moms, especially those wishing to breastfeed since I EBF my 1st 17 mo. and am still BF'ing my 2nd and he's almost 17 months.

Hi! My name is Abby and I have one two year old son. I was a young single pregnant lady with a lot of time on my hands, so I read everything I could get my hands on about child rearing and child development. When my son was a year old I went back to school and I study child development and family dynamics. I will be the firs to tell you that all those parenting books and articles that I read only helped me with about 25 percent of my parenting issues. There are so many things that you just can't learn from books, they only come with experience. But I do think that all the knowledge that I equipped myself with really did make me a better parent than I would have been without it. I want to help other moms who are in situations similar to the one I was in scared, nervous, isolated, etc. I know that I am young and less experienced than some of the other moms on here, but I think I really can help because I know what it is like to be young and unexpectedly pregnant. I am really excited about this group and can't wait to see it take off!
