Hi! My name is Lexa, and I have started a new group that you and the rest of your group might be interested in.
Over the last few days, there have been several posts that have been making the rounds in some of the debate forums regarding young moms. While wading through the posts, it became apparent that the younger moms in my groups felt that instead of discussing the situation that a girl was in, it was more important to be able to offer advice and support. The problem, they pointed out, is that in many of the younger mom groups, the advice is coming solely from other very young moms who are making many of the same mistakes or who may have similar concerns.
So, what a group of us decided was that the best way to fill this need is to start a group to work with young moms who need support and guidance by offering an on-line mentor. My group, Moms Mentoring Younger Moms is designed to assist groups like yours by providing a safe, drama free environment for moms of all ages to ask questions, get advice and emotional support, and have access to a mentor in the form of a more experienced mom. We want to share what we have learned, and what we continue to learn everyday. We are looking to gain comfort and support in each other as well as trade info on everything from baby necessities to coping with your friends and family.
