So, lately the baby has been teething. When I say lately, I mean for almost a month. Not just a little nibbling and drooling, either, noooooo. No, it's waking up several times a night, not self-soothing in any way, everything gets drenched from drool in under 3 seconds, and the rest of the kids are starting to complain about being nibbled all day. Yes, my friends, it's that time. Oh, yeah! We have 3 teeth to show for it, but I'm telling you, she wants all 8 front teeth, and she wants them NOW! "Think Veruca Salt from the original Willy Wonka singing Don't Care How, I WANT IT NOW! and you get the hint!"

So I sleep in spurts, with crazy dreams that I am not alway sure are dreams, and very often I sleep in a sitting position with the baby, which is even less restful. And i am so insanely proud f myself that the kids and I managed to accomplish 4 things today! Yeah!

I just wanted to share this random, silly accomplishment and story with all of you. I hope you are ll getting much more sleep than me, and that you are able to find your silver linings today!

Love, Lexa

I am glad it is not just me.  My dd will be a year in September.  When she is teething, she does the same.  Never sleeps.  She'll sleep maybe and hour during the day.  Will be up at 5 am, doesn't go to be until around 1 am, and when she finally goes to sleep at night, she has to sleep on my chest.  Ugh.  But after the teeth break through the next couple of days, all she wants to do is sleep.  I guess she's catching up on all that she has lost.
Congratulations about getting four things done today!

I swear for the last week I've been having vivid dreams.  Strange vivid dreams.  And then when I wake up in the morning, I feel just as tired as when I fell asleep the night before.  Is it just me or anyone else get that too, where you have these vivid dreams that make you feel like you're up doing something and then when you wake you feel like you got absolutely NO sleep?

BTW congrats on the teeth! ;)
