Okay I just took statistics and I had a very hard time in the class. I wound up getting a 59.1% this is failing. Now I am going to have to retake the class unless I can get it fixed. This is the thing my instructor gave me only 2 opoints for participation out of 20 when I participated each and every week and deserved at least 15 points. She also gave me a 0 for the final becasue she said she was unable to open my document. I don't think this was fair since she never said she was having a problem, I would have tried another program or computer. Anyways to debate the grade I have had to send copies of all my work and communication between my instructor and me to my counselor. I was just wondering if any of you have had to do this and if so how did it turn out?

I have already taken statistics and it is the hardest class that I have had to date! Which final project did she have trouble opening? Your powerpoint presentation or you workbook problems? As long as you use Microsoft then there should not have been a problem and I would start by talking to your academic counslor and keep moving up until someone gives you an explaination as to why she suddenly had trouble opening a project that you have obviously used previously in the class. As for the participation most classes require that you have so many words in your response to count as participation (most are 200) so if you click on class members in the main classroom folder then go to your name and click it you will see all of the post that you had and be able to dispute the participation points. Hope that this helps.

Quoting nenapuz:I would suggest that you keep records of everything until you get your grade and feel that ti is fair. Unfortunately whether it is an online or face to face class there are so many ways of losing someones work and the teachers have so many students to keep up with it.I completely agree. There is something cheesy here. I should keep prove of everything, like e-mails with the professor, copy and paste your own posts, etc, Then go to your counselor or board or somebody!!!
