Hello, thanks for visitng the Turners Syndrome group. As most of you may know Turners Syndrome is a chromosomal abnormality involving the sex chromosomes affecting only females. Females diagnosed with TS are missing either all or part of one of their sex chromosomes. My daughter Madilynn was diagnosed with TS and one week old, due to her swollen feet at birth. My doctor performed many test to try and find an answer for the swelling and with a karyotype showing 45X madilynn was diagnosed with Turners Syndrome. Madilynn is over a year old now and doing AWSOME! I hope that this group can help other mothers who are facing the challanges of TS to learn new information and share with other mothers who have had similar experienses. Something you will be sure to learn is that not one girl is the same as the next girl. There are many charateristics of TS some girls may attribut many and some girls only one or two. Im looking forward to meeting everyone and sharing what miracles our girls really are!
