Hi Everybody!  I just wanted to introduce myself to this group.  My name is Rebecca and moved to the Chenango area about a year ago.  I have two boys, ages 2 and 3.  I would love to meet others in the area and maybe perhaps meet up.  I lived in NJ for most of my life and am finding it hard to find things to do with my kids here.  The long winters don't help!  lol  So hello and if anyone has any recommendations for things to do in the area I would love to hear!  Thanks.

I came from Morris County NJ area. We go bowling fairly often and also do some bow shooting at a sporting good store in Norwich that has an indoor range but the winters are hard.

Hi,

My name is Diane, I have an older child...14 years old.  I lived in Ridgewwod and Township of Washington in Bergan County.

Here are a few suggestions:

Over at the Cider mill in Endicott, they make apple cider and doughnuts. Very yummy.  Plus they put on plays.

2 South Nanticoke Avenue   (607) 754-0064

The Discovery  Center  hours 10 to 4. ( not sure if the flood hit them or not) over by the Ross park Zoo

60 Morgan Road, Binghamton  (607) 773-8661

The Library in Binghamton on Court Street runs programs for younger children.

I would check to see if Barnes and Noble run a story hour.

On Upper Front Street they have a place that has those bouncy things called T R Events at 1041 Upper Front ,  (607) 238-1599 Ask about the punch card system, I guess you can earn free bounce time.

Ride on the Carousels at:  C.Fred Johnson Park, George W. Johnson Park, West Endicot Park, Highland Park, Recreation Park, Ross Park Zoo

Then there's Chuck E Cheese on Vestal Parkway

Wegmans (My favorite Grocery store) in Johnson city, posted they have an area that takes care of your children while you shop, have lunch ...

Hope this will help you out.

Hello Rebecca! I am in binghamton, only miles from you :) I have a 4 month, and a few friend with children over 1. Now that the nice weather is gone I'm going to need to update my activities list. I will share when I discover anything. Right now Charlotte (my DD) and I are just trying to keep up on walking the cemetery a few blocks away and when the weather gets really bad ill go walk the mall. Only other things I can think of for children who love to run and discover things is chucky cheese, but that's $$ and I'm sure u already have been a few times
