• i have a Ryleigh, some girls at work and i sat down and wrote as many ways we could think of to spell the name and i liked ryleigh the best. leigh is just so pretty!

• Before I was ever married or had children, I wanted a different name than anyone else for a girl's name.  My name is Michelle......everyone has that name.  So I made up names prior to ever thinking about having children.  So.......when I finally had a girl I used one of the names I made up.....Shaleigh.  pronounced Shay-Leigh.  You would be surprised how many people cannot say this name.  My daughter sometimes ask me why I could not have used a more common name especially when she wants to find items in stores with her name on it.  Her and I have so many people tell us that Shaleigh is such a pretty name.  I would not change it for nothing!!

• My daughter is Kyleigh Reagan.  DH and I wanted a celtic name, and I just fell in love with the name Kylee, but wanted to spell it Kyleigh.  My middle name is Leigh, and I was named for my grandpa's middle name which was Lee.  So it has family ties as well as looking lovely!  :o)
  
  Oh, and I thought it was so unique.  I didn't know any Kyleigh's, but after having her I've met oodles of Kaylee's and Kylee's - isn't that just how it works?!  lol.

• oh, wow! ive got an original name... nataleigh!! when i found out i was prego, my bf and i racked our brains to figure out a name. we had a book of 20,001 baby names, and went through every one of them a couple times, trying to figure out the best choice. i knew whatever it was i wouldnt spell it the traditional way, because that way, even if there were others with the same name, the spelling would be unique. when we decided we liked NATALIE, i automatically thought to use leigh. thats just how i wanted to spell it. Nataleigh. the middle name was an issue. after a long protest against naming her after me, we decided to use ANN as the middle name, even though its mine as well... thats exactly how the name was chosen. and suddenly, we realized NataLEIGH ANN had my bfs moms name in it. LEIGH ANN..... so thats what we kept. to this day, she thinks we chose it for her from the start, but its really just a factor in why it didnt get changed. btw, nobody in the family liked the name nataleigh, until i told them how to spell it, and i cant count the compliments i have gotten on that! when the time comes for another baby, im sure i might have another leigh name, if i can find something different than hayleigh, kaleigh, ryleigh...all pretty names, but this group has made me see how common!!!
