Anyone named for someone?

My daughter is Leighton and she is named after my dad and brother Robert Leighton...Her first name is Natalie and I can't see her ever fitting that name.  Her character is so "Leighton" like.

lol that is so cute.  My little boy's name is Leighton as his first name.  I actually named him after my great-grandfather on my mothers father's side.  It is such a beautiful and unique name.  He really fits as a Leighton too.  My grandfather is so funny with him.  He loves to tell the story how he only knew his father Leighton as an old man.  Both of his parents were in their 40's when he was born.  So he always says its nice to know Leighton as an young man.  I was reading a magazine recently about some new shows that are coming.  There is a girl on the CW who's name is Leighton.  I never thought of it as a girl's name but it does fit.  Your right about the name fitting the child.  My son is such a Leighton too.  He is so funny and cracks me up all the time.

My daughters name is Baileigh, She is named after her grandmothers.  My MIL's maiden name was Bailey and My Mothers maiden name was Leigh so we combined them together and her middle name is Jean after me...

Leigh - I had a bestfriend named Lesley when I was growing up and we always called her Lee

My daughter's name is Kyleigh.  Leigh & Lee are popular middle names in my family.  My sister's middle name is Leigh and that is who my daughter is named after.
