Bill owed from previous marriage (***Edited)

I have a question:

There is an outstanding loan that a friend of mine has been presented with.

Her and her ex-husband bought a car while they were married. Because he was military and had better credit than her, the car and the loan were in his name. Because of her not paying the car payments while he was out to sea, the car got repossessed. It was sold at auction, and now he is responsible for the reamining amount owed on the laon. Since this happened while they were married, is she responsible for half of the amount?

Thanks.

***In going over her divorce papers, there is no where specific in there about the division of liabilities, other than the house he was keeping.
