How do you pay?

So, I've noticed other moms when they say that they've gotten their vacations paid for finally. Is this a payment plan Disney sets up when you book or is this a personal goal? If it's a plan Disney sets up, how does that work?

Thanks!

Jillian

Yes..a payment plan.. but I will explain.

When you make the decision to call Disney/or use a TA and book your reservation.. you have within 7 days of that date to make your 200.00 deposit.(this amount can change depending on what you have booked.. ex..multiple rooms etc..)

If you do not pay your deposit within the 7 day window, your reservation is automatically cancelled in the system. You do not need to call and cancel.

Once your desposit has been paid, you have the flexibility of making payments until the 45 day mark comes up.  It would be the 45 days before your actual check-in date at any Disney Destination.  You do not have a set schedule of when payments must be paid or how much they are to be. I know the minimum accepted is in $20.00 incriments. .

So you have a open type payment plan. Your reservation must be paid within the 45 day mark, otherwise you will lose the reservation. As with any situation, if an issue arrives ..you can always call and speak with them to see what, if any, arrangements can be made to help you out.

Hope this helps.

when you say "upfront" do you mean first, or at the gate? Can I purchase them when I reserve the hotel room and such, like package deal? This is my first time WDW tripping, I've only done Disneyland, and that is kinda pay as you go/online style.

Thanks!!

well we are military so we can buy our hopper passes through our base and bring them with us....i just like to have everything in my hand before we get down there.

you can buy them as a pkg deal from Disney or whomever you are going through, and you can buy them at the gate if you wanted to, you can also purchase them though AAA........

We do everything on our own.  We book the room, and pay the room deposit, usually like $100.  Then when we get there, we pay for the rest of the room at check-in and renew annual passes when they expire a few days into our trip.  We also don't do the dining plan so we pay for food as we go.

we're only going to be there for 4 days, and off property for the other 3.5 so we're not doing the dining plan either. I'm an 'out of sight, out of mind' person, so i think paying it off before i go would make more sense to me...if i had cash around, it tends to disappear on piddly stuff...

Thanks!!!

We are the same way which is why we do the dining plan. That way we only have to worry about tip and shopping money.

we ALWAYS go through AAA... so worth it... the disney planner there really helped me when we started years ago... and even knowing all the ins and outs now, we still use AAA...
