We went the week after Florida's Spring Break 2009 but that is NC, SC and GA  spring break. It wasn't that bad compared to Dec 25th to the New Year. Longest wait time for us was still Tomorrowland Speedway at 30 minutes so that is snack time and rest time for the little ones and my husband while I ride with older kids.

I would never go at Spring break!!!!! My Aunt and her family went one year and they too could not get into the MK b/c it closed they never did get into MK! We are going in July for the 1st time b/c we don't live in FL anymore..but from the time my DD was 2 years old in 2000 we would go the last week in April into the 1st week in May...lets just say it was great but now others got that info and it is still not bad but the last time we went was in 2008. We'll see how bad it is in July we are just going for one day to MK.

My dh and I took our honeymoon over Spring Break there in 2007...and it was awesome! No large crowds or too long of wait time for rides. It was warm enough and we had a blast. I think it probably depends on what part of Spring Break tho, if we were there when only a minority of states were on SB then that would be why we didnt have issues...but if its worse when the majority of states are on SB then I would plan differently next time. I think you'll be fine though. :)

I never went during Spring break, but I was a CM at MK during Spring Break 2006. First week of March was nice. Warm weather, low crowds. Starting the second week of March, it started to get busy. The week before easter, and the week after were CRAZY. When I mean it was wall to wall people, it was wall to wall people. By the time I walked to the break area, my break was over!!! Long lines for everything, including food. We stayed open until 3am twice a week for EMH, and it was busy up until the end. I don't think all of Spring Break is too bad, but some weeks are worse than others. I heard the parks are a zoo right now. I know most Texas schools are on spring break, not sure about the rest of the country.

I just want to add something when it comes to eating at Disneyworld during Easter/Spring Break as well as the week after Christmas.  I don't know anything about the time during FREE DINING.

But Disney actually has employees whose job is to make the restaurants more efficient. For example in Animal Kingdom near the DINOSAUR ride there is a restaurant which is basically a McDonalds. They only allow 3 or 4 families inside at a time to make orders while others wait then they direct you condiments then your table. They keep the traffice flowing during peak times so its not very time consuming.

Big issues with peak times is Parades and fireworks and Scrooges that bring their family problems in the parks( my husband saw 2 wives almost get in a fight outside of NEMO the musical, lol). When you plan to get in an area near the parade be careful of the jumpers in the last 5 minutes. I am glad to be a BIG woman because it protected my 3 kids and nephew from being pushed under the ropes by a family of pushers. I literally had to stand behind the stroller and place my husband in a spot to keep them from getting in front of my youngest in the Babytrend Stroller or prevent them from pushing the stroller from leaning over it and my oldest who was in the back of it. We placed our nephew in front of my husband( also not a small man) so this one family wouldn't stop pushing into him.  When it comes to parades some adults don't care if your kids see it or not, so find the perfect spot and PROTECT THE KIDS.

There was one family that sent their kids in to push their way in then they came in.
