I am hoping to take my family to WDW next year.  We are waiting on something and if it happens we can go.  If it doesnt then we are just gonna go to DL.  I am thinking positive and am now starting to look and do my research to plan for WDW can you all give me tips.  We have been to DL a few times.  I am going with 4 kids (5 really but my husband isnt young enough to be a kid LOL) ages 14, 6 and two 5 yr olds.  (thats the ages they will be then)  We are planning on leaving the day after school gets out in June.  Is this a good time?  What tips can you give me?   What worked well for you and what didnt.  I went and looked up secrets about WDW but there wasnt much in the way of things to NOT do.  Any help I can get would be WONDERFUL!

anytime in the summer is gonna be really hot and really busy there......but if that is the time you have to work with then you just have to do some careful planning.

i would say stay on property to take advantage of the extra hours at night when it's not too hot.....and spend a few hours mid afternoon when the heat is at its worst swimming in the resort pool!

other than that.......disneyworld.com  mousesavers.com  allearsnet.com - are all good first stops to get you ready for your trip.

here's a couple other sites besides what Gail mentioned....

Disney Discounts - MouseMisers

MouseSavers.com - Disney Freebies - Free Stuff

Walt Disney World - Disney World Vacation Information Guide - INTERCOT - Walt Disney World Inside & Out

The DIS Discussion Forums - DISboards.com - Powered by vBulletin

its going to be HOT and probably crowded by then.....personally we NEVER go in summer time, but I understand some dont have a choice, so go when you can and make the best of it!

I love allears.net.

I highly suggest staying on property..any of the hotels.  Depending on your budget....

One of the value resorts offers a family suite (I can't think of which one...pop century?) ...or would you be looking at 2 rooms?

If you have the money....Grand Floridian has a pull out sofa and has Queen beds.  One room would fit your family.

It will be hot and busy..especially in June.

It doesn't start to thin out until the end of August there.

It's still a great time if you fast pass properly :)

I love WDW!!!

Last year we took our first trip in June, we went the 18th - the 24th right after school let out here. I dont know what state you live in but it was HOT HOT HOT there. One of the days it was 115 degrees. It was also super crowded.
