Disneyland...HELP!

I planned a trip to Disneyland with my 4 kids (ages 17, 14, 4 and 2) next week.  My MIL was going to go to help but not my FIL is sick and she can't go.   We are going next week and I cannot find someone to fill in.  My older two will have friends there (just happen to be going the same week) and I will be lucky if they spend anytime hanging out around the little kid rides with us.  The parents and I do not really know each other and they don't have small kids so I can't depend on them for help.  So my question is, am I crazy for trying to take a 4 yr old and 2 yr old around Disneyland by myself?  Will we all be able to sit together on the rides?  I am worried that there will be rides with 2 seats and I will be forced to sit my 4 year old by herself.  I don't want to do that.

Disneyland was made to be VERY family friendly. On all the rides that ur little ones can go on... Which is the majority of rides there, you can all sit together. All the little kid rides (Peter pan, snow white, Alice in wonderland... Etc) are designed so u can all sit together. We rode the Peter pan one and fit 3 adults (we're not small either) and a 4 year old lol. Most of the other rides (pirates of the carribean, haunted mansion, etc) are also family friendly. We took DS to d DL when he was 10 months, 2 years, and 4 years. He has ridden the vast majority of all the rides with us. I think you'll be fine. My major recommendation is to either 1) take a double stroller cuz even ur 4 year old will get tired, plus you'll need the storage in the stroller for stuff and drinks, or rent a stroller. They don't have double ones but, still u have something.
We go to DL all the time. I've been there over 15 times in my life, so if u have any other questions please feel free to PM me. Also, if it eases ur mind, call DL themselves and talk to a guest service person. They can helps u with ANYTHING!

GL! Wish I was going again already haha.

I believe that because the kids are still quite small, anything that there would be that they wouldn't all fit in to the seat would probably be a ride that they would not be able to go on anyway.  I would suggest in a double stroller that will help a lot.  You will be going slower and remember if you don't get it all done, the kids won't know the difference.  Toon town and Fantasyland will be really fun!  Just relax...and let the adventure unfold!  The cast members are amazing as well at assisting with getting you on and off rides, so you should be fine!  Is this your first time there??

Nice to see another die hard Disney maniac!!!!  I live in Canada and was just there again at Halloween marking my 36th pilgrimage to the Happiest Place on Earth!!  I think it gets stressful when people try and cram too much in and are on edge to begin with.  I wish I was going again already too!!  LOL

Yep. I LOVE DL! it's my favorite place to be. :) we try and go once a year so, we've already planned our trip for this Dec. Of course we'll have a 3 month old this time, so slower and shorter trip. But still! Lol.

You should be fine! I bring my youngest 3 to WDW by myself all the time. They are 3,2 and 1. We all ride together on everything.

1 mom liked this

I have worked at Disneyland And am an annual pass holder, the number one thing to remember is do not be in a hurry that is how kids get hurt and parents get lost. The rides can easily accomidate the three of you (I worked in Fantasyland) If for some reason you can not sit on the same bench you will be in the cart with them for example snow white, pinochio, and alice in wonderland have two benches in each cart, you could put your four year old on the front bench and you and the two year old could sit in back together. I know that for a lot of people it can be hard, however it is usually because parents get frustrated trying to get through everything. You can not do everything in the park in one day. Make sure you get a map it tells you were everything is also know where the closest bathrooms are. The three nearest fantasyland are located one between the castle and matterhorn on the way to alice from tomorrow land, one in carnation Plaza just before you enter the castle to go to fantasyland and then one by gepettos, just before you get to big thunder trail. Also make sure you know what the show times are for everything to. If you think the kids may need a break go take a seat and wait for the show to start or parade.

No you should be fine, I have twin girls and 2 boys, it was my husband and the boys (mainly just the 8 yr old) and me and the twins on rides.  Disney is pretty good about making the rides big enough so that 3 people can sit together.

Thank you so much ladies!!  I feel a lot better.  I have been to Disneyland about 5 times, but it has been about 5 years since the last time and I never really paid attention before since I was never the only adult.  You helped ease my mind.   Someone told me about an app today that you can download and it tells you where all the baby stations and resturuants and such are.  Also there is an app that tells you the wait for lines.  So cool.  We are staying 3 days and I am not going to try to do it all.   Since we are back in California I am going to try to go more often.
